Medicare Part D Drug Plans in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Standalone drug plans · Drug coverage in Medicare Advantage · Checked against your prescriptions

Medicare Part D helps pay for prescription drugs. You get it through a standalone drug plan added to Original Medicare, or inside a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drugs. We check your prescriptions and pharmacy against each plan’s drug list and show you the yearly cost.

In plain terms

How Part D works

Two ways to get it

Part D comes from private plans that follow Medicare’s rules. With Original Medicare you add a standalone drug plan; with Medicare Advantage, drug coverage is usually built in. You need to live in the plan’s service area.

The 2027 limits

For 2027, the most a plan can set as its deductible is $700, and once your out-of-pocket costs on covered drugs reach $2,400, your covered-drug costs stop for the rest of the year. For 2026 those figures are $615 and $2,100.

Drug lists and pharmacies

Each plan has its own list of covered drugs and can change it each year. What you pay also depends on the pharmacy: preferred, standard or mail order. That is why we price your exact prescriptions for each plan.

Help with costs

Every plan offers the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan, which spreads your drug costs across the year. Covered insulin is capped at $35 for a month’s supply. Extra Help lowers costs for people with limited income; apply at SSA.gov/extrahelp.

Teton County

How we check your Part D in Teton County

Your list, priced plan by plan

Bring your list of drugs, doses and the pharmacy you use. We run it through Medicare’s Plan Finder for each plan and show you the yearly total, so you compare what you would actually pay.

With either path

On Original Medicare with a Medicare Supplement, Part D is its own plan. Choosing Medicare Advantage, we compare the drug coverage inside each plan. Either way, the same check.

Every fall

Drug lists, tiers and pharmacy networks change each year. Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7, is the time to re-run your list for the year ahead.

Common questions

What people ask about Part D.

Medigap plans sold today do not include drug coverage. Unless you have other creditable drug coverage, such as from an employer, joining Part D when you are first eligible keeps you clear of the late enrollment penalty.

Most Medicare Advantage plans include drug coverage. If you join an HMO or PPO without drug coverage, you cannot add a separate Part D plan.

If you go 63 days or more in a row without Part D or other creditable drug coverage after your Initial Enrollment Period ends, Medicare adds a penalty when you join: 1% of the national base premium, $41.33 in 2027, for each full month without coverage. It usually lasts as long as you have Part D.

Each year during Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7, with the new plan starting January 1. Moving, losing other drug coverage and some other events open a Special Enrollment Period.

Yes. A Part D plan cannot charge more than $35 for a month's supply of each covered insulin, and the deductible does not apply to it.

No more than $700, up from $615 in 2026. Each plan sets its own deductible within that limit.

Yes. Extra Help lowers Part D costs for people with limited income and resources; in 2027 costs are generally no more than $5.80 for a generic and $14.40 for a brand drug. People with Medicaid, a Medicare Savings Program or SSI qualify automatically, and others apply at SSA.gov/extrahelp.

The carrier pays our commission and it's built into the premium. Medicare commissions are set by CMS and paid by the carrier. How we are paid is disclosed in writing up front.
