Benefits built around Park County
Two hospitals, twenty-five miles apart
Cody Regional Health and Powell Valley Healthcare are both critical access hospitals, each with more than 400 full-time staff. Cody Regional was designated an Area Trauma Center in June 2026 — the only one serving Park, Big Horn, Hot Springs and Washakie counties.
Cody Regional co-owns an air medical program with St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana, and Powell Valley is a Billings Clinic affiliate. Two in-county hospitals and a Montana referral pattern change which networks work here. We check all of it before recommending a plan.
Health care is the county's biggest employer
Park County employs about 14,998 people. Health care and social assistance leads at roughly 2,389, ahead of education at 1,904 and retail at 1,768. Health care also carries the county's largest total payroll.
Cody is the East Entrance gateway to Yellowstone, so lodging, retail and food service headcount swings hard with the season. Variable-hour staff and seasonal eligibility testing drive most of the plan design here.
